A Quick Overview
NRI opened its doors for the first time on June 1, 1967 in Chevy Chase, Maryland. For our first ten years, we focused solely on the permanent placement of candidates with metro DCs finest organizations.
Along the way, we added two specialities to our original core specialty of Office Support and Administration. Specifically, we added Accounting and Legal in the first ten years, as well as additional locations in DC and northern Virginia.
In 1981, we added temporary help services to our menu of service offerings, originally under the name of Temporary Resources.
In the early 1990s, we melded together our previously separate two service groups - permanent placement services and temporary help services into one fully diversified staffing servicethe NRI Staffing Resources of today!
In the mid-1990's, we added our Healthcare group of offices and our expansion into Metropolitan Baltimore.
Our expansion into metro Baltimore was accomplished in the mid-1990s.
NRI Provides Industry Leadership
Throughout our history, NRI has provided leadership to the staffing industry.
Our founder, Les Meil, served as a board member and as President of the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) in 1984. Our Executive Vice President, Bob McClimans, followed in that same role in 1997. Our President, Robb Mulberger, served as President of the National Association of Temporary and Staffing Services (NATSS - now known as the American Staffing Association) in 1998, and he continues to serve on the ASA Board of Directors.
NRI managers and executives have served in leadership capacities for several of our local staffing service associations.
NRI is a Technology Innovator
NRI has always been a strong believer in the use of technology to take care of routine and administrative tasks, and we are among the most automated staffing services in our industry. This does not mean that when you call our offices, you get a recording! We are in the people business and only use technology to enable our associates to spend maximum time working with clients and candidates/temporaries.
Today
NRI is an organization of people that stand ready to serve our clients as well as our candidates and temporary associates.
With offices in metro Baltimore and Washington, DC, we focus on the most sought after specialties. With strong and equal competency in both traditional temporary help services and permanent placement services, NRI is a firm that is proud of its service history and reputation for excellence.
